Spring

Is Spring finally here?
My magnolia bush is full of color
Tulips are open so bright and beautiful
I must say tulips are one of my favorite flowers
I want to plant more in the fall.

 the daffodils are standing proud

My rhododendron is just starting to open its buds

and oh the Johnny Jump Ups are
jumping up all over the place

I love the season of spring when everything
looks so fresh and lush, especially with all
the rain we have been having.
And yes I'd be ready for some sunshine again.

I made new curtains for our living room.
What used to look like this.
 Now looks like this.
starting with a full bolt of 25 yards of fabric
which I bought at Zinks a local fabric store
which has thousands of yards of fabric. You never know
what you find when you get there.Sometimes
you find what your looking for and other times you don't.
But its on my way to work so I can stop in and check
things out often.
Oh yes did I mention you can find GREAT BARGAINS!
I got to cutting my panels
(yes on the floor didn't have a table big enough)
to pining the hems and the curtain header
and sewing all I had pined.
I love the airiness of the fabric, the way the light shine's thru.

The curtains I used to have up are Dorthy's Ruffles Curtains.
They are all packaged up waiting for someone to hang them in there
home. They are still in great condition. So if your interested
let me know thru email

Have a wonderful week end

I was looking for a nice bag
to carry my knitting with me.
I've seen these bags on a lot of blogs
and decided to try and make one.
This is what I came up with using some fabric I had
laying around.

if I need a punch of color I just a add a flower

or scarf
or pin
oh the possibilities.
I lined it w/ a cotton fabric and added a few
pockets on the inside for needles/small scissors / etc...
With a neutral color like this I can add any color
and it goes well with it.

Adding Greens

Adding some greens helps to soften
and bring in warmth to a space.

a splash here
and there.

So looking forward to warmer spring weather
when the grass is green, the leaves on the trees
start to bud and I can sit on my patio for my morning cup
of coffee and listen to the birds singing in the trees, and
enjoy the outdoors again.

love and blessing!
