headboard make over

Finding inexpensive pieces for out guest room,
not that our guests are not worth expensive
furniture and such, but as it is not used often
I didn't see the need to put a lot of money into it.
I found this headboard for a few dollars 2.50 to be exact

sanded it primed it
and gave it 2 coats of white paint
connected it to a metal frame.
nothing fancy but for 2.50 not bad.
I'll show you the complete room in a later post.
In a previous post I showed you one of the nightstands
I found for a few dollars and redid. Also found
these pictures and turned them into mirrors
to put them behind the nights stands to make the room
appear larger
took out the pictures
primed and painted
and added mirror
hung them on the wall behind the night stands on each side
of the bed.
This helps the room look larger as its a small room.
I have a few things yet that need done to complete the room. Its been a busy summer
and summer is flying by way to fast. So much on my
TO DO list yet.

night stand make over

Looking for a small night stand for our guest bedroom
I found this little beauty
yes it needed much work. So out comes the
sander. Then the primer .
then the paint
what a difference.
Look past the dirt and grim and see the beauty.

Before

After

I love the transformation.

Chair Make Over

Chair Make Over

I have 2 chairs like this that are long overdue
for a seat fabric make over.
I found some fabric which I paid only
.50 cents for a piece
45" x 25"
( can't beat the price)
I took the chair seat of the frame and removed all the
staples.
Using the fabric that was on the chairs as a pattern
I cut the new fabric

the cushions were still in great condition

next step staple the new fabric to the seat

I then screwed the seat back onto the chair.
here is the before
and after

tools used:
. 50 cents piece of fabric
screw gun
staple gun
hammer
screw driver
 1/2 hour of my time

Summertime

Summertime

  I love summertime.
warm summer evening, fresh flowers and  vegetables, garden tea,
lemonade and Picnics in the park.
Campfires, smores, roasted hog dogs.
Bike rides,and walks,
along with that there is weeding, hoeing the garden and mowing.

I wanted to freshen up my table
center piece
here is what I came up with.

 old empty soda bottles
 added a daisy
how simple, fresh and easy.

hope your summer is going well.
