Sharing Our Best
I had several requests for the following recipes
which I make on a regular basis. So easy other wise
I wouldn't be making them.
My Granola Recipe is by my sister-in -law
which is a GREAT Cook. You will find this in the
cook book Sharing Our Best
By Fairlawn Menn. Church
I do add some things to it.

2 cups chopped nuts
2 TBS cinnamon
I add raisins or cranberries
dried bananas
and flax seed
Melt and pour over mixture:

Whats for breakfast?
Today is my day off working at a local furniture store.
And when I went for my granola I only had a little bit left,
so I decided I best get a batch stirred up again.
I love my Granola w/ Yogurt every morning for breakfast.
I also decided to make some more granola bars.
These are great to pick up and take along on a busy
day when you barley have time for lunch. They are so
FILLING and need I say DELICIOUS.
Now that container is filled as well.
Don't they look good all wrapped up and ready to go?
Hope 2011 is going well for you.

Hostess gift
I was invited to a party
so I wanted to give her a
little something for her nice guesture.
I love my white cotton tea towels.
They make the best towels to wipe dishes dry.
Or they can be used when baking cookies
to set them on while letting them cool.
I had some new ones never used .
I thought hum .........
why not iron a little decal in the corner
and give it to her.
Then I thought .....I need something to wrap this in,
yes and old white cotton blouse that had holes in it.
I cut 2 squares from it 10" x 11"
notice I used the edge with the button holes already sewed in,
and I love the tucks.
I sewed the edges together to make and envelope
I then turned it right side out and pressed it.
sewed some little buttons on to close it
then I made a little Thank You tag
from a brown paper bag.
Cut out a little rectangular piece
Then punched a hole in the corner of the tag
with a paper punch.
and burned the edges with a lighter, (be careful)
wrote Thank You in the center
and finished it off with a ribbon made of twine.
I thought it turned out adorable.
I stuffed the white cotton tea towel
inside and .......here is the finished gift
so soft and simple.
I hope she likes it.
Do you think she will ?

Christmas is a wonderful time of year when we celebrate the birth of Christ.
We decorate our homes for the celebration
stockings are hung
table is set as we wait for our quests
The Chandelier is glittering with the fragrance of fresh greens
and red Christmas bows
The little tree awaits it's guests to glisten and shimmer
while they rest,
candles are set in a plate with buttons and ornaments
waiting to be lite to shine with the glittering tree.
Red Christmas ornaments nestled in the chest,
The bathroom is all a glow
with a nativity tucked in under the tree,
A red cardinal resting in the branches of a wreath
The cake dome awaits to be filled with a cake
for the celebration,
mirrors are shining while catching expressions of our faces as we
scurry past.
As we prepare for this celebration
Let us never forget what we are celebrating,
For Jesus is the reason for the season!!

while looking for something to store my
cat food in I came upon this
It works great to store a 10# bag of cat food.
looks fine sitting right inside the
back sliding door. It's convenient and goes well with my decor.
Meet Fred
He is and outdoor cat
his fur is all white and fluffy.
He is a great mouser and
takes care of all the little pests
take creep around my landscape.
Thanks Fred for doing a great job!
