Granola for Breakfast

    Making Granola is something I do every month.I have it for breakfast almost every morning. The Recipe is in this cookbook which I usually go for when looking for a recipe that is simple and I can find all the ingredients I need for the recipe in my cupboard.

                                         Sharing Our Best II by Fairlawn Menn. Church  

                                                                   Ingredients
                                       8 cups oatmeal                 2 cups coconut
                                       2 cups wheat germ            2 cups brown sugar
                                       2 cups chopped nuts         2tbs cinnamon
                                     I add : 2 cup craisins and 1 cup flax seed  to this recipe

                                          Mix everything together in a large bowl

                                           with a large wooden spoon mix it all together

                                           Melt: 1 1/2 cup butter and pour over mixture

                                           stir well and spread on a large cookie sheet

                                          Bake on cookie sheet @ 300 degrees for 1 hour
                                          cool and store in a tight container. I store mine in
                                                        this Tupperware container

                                            Would you like to have breakfast with me

                                            and try a bowl of my granola?
                                         I like mine with yogurt and a cup of coffee.

Chair Make Over

                                               Recently I found this chair at a local thrift store
                                                                and decided to buy it.

                            

                                                         I gave it a coat of white paint
                                                             and recovered the seat

                                                                    Added a throw

                                                                      And a pillow

                                                          And found a place for it in the
                                                          bedroom. I love my new chair
                                                      and the best part of it only cost me
                                                                        a total of
                                                            drum roll pleaseeeeeeeeeee

                                                                         $ 15.00

Love Summer

Flowers

The Vibrant yellow

                                                 the soft pinks

                                                   Shades of lavender

                                                             and white, just to name a few,

                                                        strolls threw the gardens

                                                      taking the time to relax, sit a spell !

                                                 or laying in the hammock under the shade tree.

                                           Hope you have been inspired to take time to smell the

Surprise for my niece

                                                 I surprised a special  niece of mine
                                                 with this little Morkie puppy. look
                                                 closely and see how he is looking up at her.

                                              Isn't he adorable and such a sweet personally
                                                           just like my niece

                                                             She named him Crouton
                                                           luv the name she gave him.
                                                          and yes I did get the approval
                                                     from her parents before giving it to her.
