Center Piece

Making a new center piece for my kitchen table.
First I had a box made out of wood
then painted it a cream color and let ti dry and cure.
  Next I  painted it white.
 While paint was still wet
I took my cooking torch and held it
to the paint in areas till it bubbled.
Then I waited till the paint dried.
Next I took a fine piece of sandpaper an sanded
the box.(where the wood shows is where the bubbles were)
I was pleased how it turned out.
I then set in wide mouth quart jars
w/ white candles in them and wrapped twine around the neck of the jar.
and filled the open space  w/ moss.
I like the patina it has.
The box is new but yet it looks old and worn.

Have a Blessed Easter

Living Room
After taking all the Christmas things and putting them
away for next year I thought it looked so bare.
So what do I do?

 I Rearrange the furniture.

I have a local craftsmen making me a new coffee table
made from old wood from an old barn that was torn down.
I can't wait for it to
be done.

Bathroom carpet

My New bathroom Carpet
I finally got it done after working on it since
October. I didn't work on it every day just
whenever. after many a tee shirt here is the finished product.
I used mostly white tee's in different shades of white
and only 2 tee's in a taupe color.
it is so soft
this is what I used to have in front of the bathroom vanity
I think I like this one much better

What do you think?
Any one can do this it is so easy.
all you need is tee shirts (your choice of color)
a latch hook (which I found one at save and serve for 10 cents)
and the latch hook mat to tie the stripes to.
I cut the tee's into stripes 1" wide x 7" long
(Trust me they were not all the same )
and here is the finished carpet.

 Snow flake
I had a nice little surprise the other evening
when my neighbor girls came to my door
with this beautiful snowflake
they made out of paper for me.

I hung it on my kitchen window
to enjoy while working there.
so simple so thoughtful so meaningful!
thank you girls for the gift of
a snowflake!

Oh Christmas Tree

This year I decided to get a white
Christmas Tree

Its 6ft tall
I have it setting in a old galvanized
bucket

the gifts I wrapped in brown paper and tied
with a white sheer bow
or in white freezer wrap paper with silver ribbon
and a bow made with the freezer wrap
The ornaments are either crystal
 white
 or mercury
 Silver
and the crystal star shines at the top
It is rather simple, but that is how I like it!
Hope you are enjoying the Christmas Season!
Blessings
