Quotes
Trying to find some thing for a friend for her
Birthday I came up with this idea,
Why not make something she can use every day
for a whole year( till her next birthday)
I started collecting quotes and typing them into my documents on
the computer till I had collected 365.
I then printed them off
and with my cutter cut them all apart
folded each one up and put them in a jar
closed it up and added a piece of twine and a tag
simple but time consuming ,
But she is wroth ever minute I put into it.
I hope you will enjoy pulling an inspirational quote from the jar every day
for the next year!
Happy Birthday Friend!!

How long till spring?
How long till spring?
I love looking out my windows
and seeing the beauty of winter
The pine trees all covered with snow.
The trees their buds waiting to bloom
.
The patio waiting for activity
with friends and family.
How long ?
There is one thing I love about winter and that is
The beauty the Lord lavishes on us
with all the snow. But I welcome spring!
Thank you Lord for the beauty
of winter!

Paper Wreath
I have seen these wreaths on lots of different blogs
and decided to see if I can master one myself
so I headed out to Joann Fabrics for a Styrofoam
12" ring and glue sticks, then off to a thrift store
for an old book.
I had some craft paint , brown and gray
first I rubbed the brown on the edge of the book pages
then topped it with the gray paint.
I then tore off the cover
and started tearing out the pages
then folding my pages
and gluing the first layer to the bottom of Styrofoam ring
I than turned it over and worked my way up around the ring,
till it was all filled up.
I found this to be VERY inexpensive
but VERY time consuming.
I love the look as it goes well in our home.
I added a brown bow and hung it on my inside
door with a mirror.

What do you think, do you like or not?

Tea Towel
Recently we were with out electric for 4 days
Whats a person to do with out it?
Everything I wanted to do I needed it. So
I went thur my craft room in search for something
to do that I wouldn't need electric.
This is what I came up with.
A COTTON TEA TOWEL
and some old remnants of fabric.
I cut some birds, flowers and hearts from the fabrics
and started to applique them to the towel.
I then turned to my embroidery floss box and started
to embellish my little creatures with the floss
here's the finished tea towel
I like using cotton so much better then terry
tea towels.
So delicate and precious
I think I like it!
being with out electric made me appreciate it soooooo
much more
much more
and do something I normally would not have done.
Lord why do we ( I ) take so many things for granted?
Help me be more thankful and appreciative things
I take for granted for in my life.
such as electric.

Doggy Treats
Valentine Doggy Treats
I had fun making these
mixed all ingredients together
next roll out the dough to 1/4 - 1/2" thick
then I got out my little heart cutter
and started cutting out my little treats
I only made a 1/2 batch
but it filled up my cookie sheet
then put them in the oven to bake
let them cool and packaged them up.
I think he'll like them
Recipe
Bacon Bites
3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup oil or bacon grease

mix all together, roll out 1/4"- 1/2 " thick
cut into desired shapes
bake at 325 for 35-40 minutes
Treat your special pet with a special treat
